Series of Aerial photographs of Kati Thanda, aboriginal name for Lake Eyre, taken from a small aircraft.
This is a salt-encrusted, mostly dry and barren lake in the desert of Australia. When the flood waters on rare occasions arrive from the far north, the water creates these amazing patterns and brushlike shapes on the dry landscape.
Ingrid was born in the Netherlands and moved to Australia in 1981.
Completed a diploma in photography in 2012 and received her honours; L.A.P.S. and A.A.P.S. from the Australian Photographic Society in 2015 and 2021. Her passion is People, Aerial and landscape Photography. She self-published 2 award winning photo-books; "LADAKH" and "THE LAST MONTHS OF KATHPUTLI" and is currently working on a new photo book "AERIAL ART " a collection of abstract and landscape images showing an unique perspective of the relationship between Geography and Art.
Awards Her photo books have won 1st and 2nd, in the Australian Photographic society photo book competition 2018, 2019. And The book Ladakh received honourable mentions from IPA, international Photography Awards, and TIFA ,Tokyo International Photography Awards.
2 Silver and 1 Bronze Award in the Epson PANO Awards 2017 and 2019, landscape .
A Merit in the APS , 2019 exhibition.
Highly commended in the 2020 Aerial/drone Sienna awards.
Gold in the 2020 PX3 Paris photography awards.
And several honourable mentions in the IPA and Australian photography awards during the last few years.

The rivers leading to the Gulf of Carpentaria in the Karumba Basin are like veins, with lush and green riverbanks in the sandy mudflats.
